Holy Monastery of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk in Pennsylvania, USA – First Orthodox Monastery in the USA

A brief video showcasing the Holy Monastery of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk in Pennsylvania, the first Orthodox monastery established in the United States. The monastery has played an important role in the development of American Orthodoxy and remains a center of prayer, worship, and monastic life. The video offers a glimpse into the beauty and tranquility of one of the most historic Orthodox sites in North America.

Personal Note: Maria and I visited St. Tikhon’s as catechumens to attend a marriage conference. We were deeply struck by the beauty, reverence, and spiritual life we encountered there. The monastery embodied many of the things that had drawn us to Orthodoxy in the first place: a life centered on prayer, worship, repentance, and devotion to Christ. Our visit strengthened our love for the Orthodox faith and remains one of the most meaningful experiences of our journey into the Church.
